Matyáš focuses his legal practice on advising financial institutions, FinTech and RegTech projects based on Smart Contracts, Blockchain and DLT technology in general, including in the context of regulation of financial markets, investment services and investment structures.

He specializes in financial markets regulation, crypto-assets and related legal and tax issues.

Matyáš also handles litigation and tax matters and represents clients in disputes before courts and in proceedings before regulatory authorities, in particular the Czech National Bank (CNB) and the Financial Analysis Office (FAÚ).

In addition to law, he also focuses on information technology and is a co-founder of RegTech company AML solutions s.r.o., dealing with AML/CFT compliance. He is also a lecturer in this area of law and regularly lectures and trains.

He studied at the University of Bayreuth in Bavaria and worked in a German law firm.

Him and Martin Murad are the core members of the Polish desk, a group dedicated to the Polish clients in the Czech Republic.

He speaks fluent English, German and Polish.
